David has over 16 years of experience in product design, manufacturing, materials sourcing, quality control, import/export and retail sales management. He began his retail career with Crate and Barrel, as sales manager at their highest revenue-producing retail store in New York City before joining their merchandising department at the company’s corporate headquarters in Northbrook, IL. He was then recruited to head design and development for Environment Furniture, an early pioneer in manufacturing high-end furnishings from salvaged, recycled and sustainable sourced materials. In his seven years with Environment, David had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented designers from across the world. He oversaw the launch of many successful furniture collections and more then tripled the company’s private label business by introducing targeted original designs customized to retailers’ specifications.
David has extensive travel and product sourcing experience in South-East Asia, Brazil and Europe, maintaining a global network of designers, manufacturing, and retail connections across the furniture business.
David holds a Masters in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
